JDPS engines integrated by WPP deliver emission compliant engines with little to no impact on packaging and machine design. JDPS offers Stage V engines in variable and constant speed configurations from 48hp (36kW) to 908hp (677kW). These engines are offered in multiple displacements from 2.9L to 18L. Find the latest technology and newly designed engines with the JD4, JD9, JD14, and JD18. Several models of John Deere legacy engines are also Stage V compliant including the 3029, 4045, 6068 and 6090 platforms.
Stage V and Stage 5 refer to the same emissions regulation – one just uses a roman numeral. Stage V is the current emissions regulation found in many European Countries. Tier 4 and FT4 refer to the same emissions regulation in the United States. Tier 4 or Final Tier 4 (FT4) is the current United States EPA emissions regulation. Tier 5 is the next step in emission regulations being considered by CARB (California Air Resource Board) and the EPA. The specifics of this regulation have not yet been defined nor has the timeline of its implementation been confirmed. Stay tuned as Western Power Products and John Deere Power Systems will ensure you are kept informed of these emerging regulations and understand what if anything will change about your engine choice to comply with current regulations.
